I'll start off with a single screenshot from last Thursday's ride movie. I'm headed east on Park Link Road, about 35 miles north of Tucson, when I encounter one of the area's mobile road hazards off the right side of the road, ahead. At least this one didn't leave any cow pies on the road for me yet.

Feral cattle (and sheep!) sound kind of... off... to me. I have this image of a wild eyed cow creeping up on an innocent stand of sagebrush and pouncing with a piercing, heart-stopping "MOO!" while its tail swishes with the joy of a successful attack. I just have trouble getting my head around that. Sorry.

And here's a nice looking overpass under construction. The only thing is that it's for wildlife to use to get from one side of this little 6-lane country road to the other, not vehicles. A little further south, there's a tunnel from one side to the other, for animals that don't like the open sky. No picture of that one, though, since it's pretty well invisible from the roadway.
Sorry for the duplicate picture. The "Edit Attachments" button won't let me actually delete the second picture. Oops.

The wildlife bridges are great. There is one I travel under, seems a little different from normal in that there are trees and normal vegetation rather than cars. All sorts of wildlife use it - spiders, mice and of course deer.
I don't really mind cows in the road, with the possible exception of the one stubborn bull that refuses to move anywhere except towards me. It's the mine field they often leave behind that I find hard to work my way through unscathed.
Here's a couple of Arizona desert shots from today's ride (Saturday, 1/2/16). I didn't feel too good on January 1st, what with one thing and another, so this ride on Jan. 2 was my first outing this year. These pix are just some normal desert scenes (mostly a lot of nothing...) along AZ 387 between the Arizona towns of Casa Grande and Coolidge. I'm headed east, away from Casa Grande and towards Coolidge.
